The ordinance restores planning as a core City of Boston function with the same accountability and oversight as other City departments. The ordinance also enables the transfer of Boston Planning & Development Agency (BPDA) staff and funds to the Planning Department and creates a path for community-grounded planning to address Boston’s urgent and long-term needs. |
