Thousands of residents and visitors use the extensive system of MBTA trains and buses to get around the city each day.

If you're looking for a way out of the city, the MBTA also runs commuter rail lines to many of suburbs. Amtrak runs trains out of Boston's North Station, South Station, and Back Bay Station, and Greyhound, Peter Pan, Megabus, Bolt Bus, and Plymouth and Brockton companies run buses out of Boston's South Station to destinations across the U.S.
