Email Alerts
As a courtesy, the City of Boston offers email alerts to constituents for snow emergencies, parking bans, and school closings. Alerts are broadcasted when snow emergencies are declared or are lifted:

Messages can also be received directly by your cellphone. Be aware that your cellphone carrier may bill you for text messages you receive. They are probably not free:
Voice Alerts
Signups for telephone alerts for parking bans and snow emergencies is presently disabled. Residents are encouraged to register for email and text alerts for faster notification.
