Trash & Recycling Collection

  1. Trash & recycling is rarely cancelled (only in the most extreme storms). If a cancellation is ordered, please hold your materials until your next normally scheduled pickup day.

  2. Wintry conditions often slow trash pickup. Unless trash is cancelled, leave items out for collection. Crews may be working until late in the evening.

  3. During the winter, clear an area at the curb for recycling carts and trash barrels. If this is not possible, please place containers next to or in front of snow banks. Do not place carts behind snow banks.

    Holiday Trash & Recycling Collection

Public Works will collect Christmas trees for composting from Monday December 29, 2014 to January 9, 2015. Please remove all ornaments, decorations, and stands from trees and place trees at the curb by 7AM on your recycling day. Do not put trees in plastic bags, and don't forget to recycle your holiday catalogs and wrapping paper as well.

If you have 2 recycling days per week, Christmas trees will be collected on your first recycling day of the week.
