Parking Information
When a snow emergency has been declared in the City of Boston, parking regulations are strictly enforced to ensure that streets remain accessible for snow plows, fire apparatus and other emergency vehicles. During declared snow emergencies this winter, to avoid being ticketed or towed, please park in accordance with the snow emergency parking regulations. Anyone who violates these regulations will be issued a fine ranging from $25 to $250.

Parking regulations are strictly enforced during snow emergencies. Violators are subject to ticketing and towing.
- Don't park within 20 feet of an intersection, or further than one foot from the curb.
Select a neighborhood below to see the major arteries as well as a list of alternative parking locations. - During a snow emergency, don't park on streets with signs declaring "Emergency Snow Artery" or "Tow Zone- Snow Emergency".
- Disabled cars blocking the roadway must be removed as soon as possible.
- Cars parked in driveways must not extend to the sidewalk or street.
- Any Space-savers in on-street parking spaces that have been cleared should be removed 48 hours after a snow storm has ended.

- Resident parking stickers must be visible within 24 hours after the end of a snowstorm.
- Take extra precaution near school bus stops where children may be waiting without parental supervision.
- Treat non-working traffic lights as stop signs and proceed cautiously at intersections.
