HD 2702: An Act Relative to a Local Options Meals Tax
This bill would allow a city or town to levy an additional 1% on the meals tax by local option. Other manifestations, including one that redistributed 1/4 of the total increase to all 351 cities and towns, have had varying success in recent years.

HD 2717: An Act Relative to Property Tax Classification in Cities and Towns
This would reverse a 2004 law that changed the classification formula to allow a reduction in the commercial business factor to 170%. This bill would set the rate back at 175%.

HD 3818: An Act Relative to the Storage Fee for Towing
This bill would attempt to increase the storage fee for all towed vehicles, resulting in an increase of up to $5.00 per tow. Currently BTD charges a maximum of $15.00 per day, and the Dept. of Telecommunications and Energy (DTE) allows a maximum of $20.00 per day. This is a companion piece to the towing fee change made in 2003.
