Voter Registration Application

To register to vote in any upcoming Massachusetts election (or to make any changes to party enrollment, address, name, etc.), your application must be postmarked 20 days before the election date. See the Election Department's main page for specific deadline information for upcoming elections.

You can download and print the National Mail Voter Registration Application, complete it and mail it in by the deadline.
*This is the only form that will be accepted by the State of Massachusetts when it is downloaded and printed from a personal computer.  Boston residents should mail their completed form to:
City of Boston Election Department
City Hall, Room 241
Boston, MA 02201
Residents of other cities or states should mail their completed form as directed in the downloaded form's instructions.



Absentee Ballot Application

If you would like to vote by absentee ballot, you should download the Absentee Ballot Application, complete it and mail it in by the deadline.
Note: A family member of a person qualified to vote by absentee ballot may apply in the same manner for you. Download and use the application below. Boston residents should mail their completed form to:
