The attached letter serves as a reminder to all personal property owners in the City of Boston of their obligations to file a Form of List with the Assessor each year and the consequences associated with non-compliance.
The attached form contains a supplementation information request for companies doing business in Boston. The survey is intended to verify or update information that may be used by the City Assessor to value personal property accounts.
The attached brochure will provide an easy to read summary of information related to the assessment of personal property. It also contains quick Internet references for additional information, including frequently asked questions.
The attached form can be printed out, completed and filed with the City Assessor. Information provided on the Form of List is NOT open to public inspection and will only be used in the assessment of the taxpayer's property.
