City agencies are working together on a spring cleanup program to resolve the lingering effects of a harsh winter. We encourage residents and businesses to help with this effort by reporting issues and complying with parking regulations.
Help reduce the City's waste. Leaf and yard waste will be collected for composting from Monday, April 30 through Friday, May 25, on your recycling day.
The neighborhood street sweeping program resumes on April 1st (see exceptions). Residents are invited to register for No Tow™ email reminders of when the street that they regularly park on is scheduled for cleaning.
During the winter months, the freeze / thaw cycle can cause pavement to crack so that it deteriorates quickly under the weight of traffic.

Boston residents can safely dispose of hazardous waste for free at two events this spring/summer. (Note: Latex paint is no longer accepted at hazardous waste events. Latex paint is not hazardous. Let latex paint dry out completely, then set out with your regular trash.)
Neighborhood Street Cleaning to Begin on April 1st
Neighborhood streets throughout the city will be swept clean on a rotating schedule each week through November 30th. Vehicles are required to be moved in accordance with the posted Street Cleaning regulations.
