The Department of Innovation and Technology is the City of Boston’s enterprise technology organization that provides solutions to empower business partners across City departments and deliver services more efficiently and effectively. The Public Technology Institute awarded The City of Boston with two awards at its 2013-2014 PTI Solutions Awards.
The awards recognize the city’s BostonMaps as the winner in the Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) category and the Boston Goes Google Project as the winner in the IT & Telecommunications category. This annual competition recognizes PTI members who demonstrate how they use technology to innovate, solve problems, reduce costs, and improve services and internal operations.
