    Boston R.O.C.K.S!!! Community Grants RFP Now Available

    Mayor Thomas M. Menino is pleased to announce the Boston R.O.C.K.S!!! Community Grants Request for Proposals for the Summer of 2012.  This grant program helps to ensure youth have a safe place to learn and grow during the summer months.  Non-profit community-based organizations are eligible for a grant award of up to $5,000 to provide programming for youth ages 6-21 this summer.

    Applications are due Thursday, May 24, 2012 by 5pm.  Please see the RFP for full information regarding the application process and timeline.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email Leslee Parker-Sproul at Leslee.Parker-Sproul@CityofBoston.gov.

    Public Computing Centers

    The Boston Broadband Community Computing Centers are the result of a partnership between the Boston Centers for Youth & Families, the Boston Housing Authority and the Boston Public Library. These community-oriented training centers will provide a variety of free workshops and classes in basic computing and new technologies. The centers are located at nearly 50 BCYF, BHA and BPL facilities throughout Boston.
