SAMUEL BRAFF

Samuel Braff United States Army 25 May, 1915 – 17 August, 1944 Samuel Braff was born on May 25, 1915 in Boston. He resided on Chiswick Road in Brighton and graduated from the Roxbury Memorial High School in 1932. He was a printing and publishing clerk before he was inducted into the Army on August 17, 1943. He began active duty on September 8, 1943, serving with the Company A, 141st Infantry, 26th Division as a Private (Pvt.). On August 17, 1944, Pvt. Braff was killed in action in France. For the sacrifice and heroism he displayed in service to our country, Pvt. Braff was awarded the Purple Heart and the Infantry Combat Badge. Samuel was survived by his wife Phyllis Braff, a resident of Brighton.
