CHARLES A. BAZZINOTTI

Charles A. Bazzinotti United States Army 13 March 1947 – 19 May 1970 Charles Anthony Bazzinotti was born on March 13, 1947 in Boston. He resided on Everdeen Street in Dorchester and was a member of the Northeastern University Class of 1968. Charles displayed his devotion to our country when he enlisted in the United States Army on May 28, 1968. First Lieutenant (1Lt.) Bazzinotti proudly served in the 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division as the 1542-Infantry Unit Commander. On May 19, 1970 he was a passenger on a military vehicle at aircraft loading zone in Vietnam when a military aircraft collided with the vehicle. The crash was fatal. For the heroism displayed in service to our country, 1Lt. Bazzinotti was awarded the Bronze Star. Charles is buried in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Mattapan, and was survived by his wife Lois Bazzinotti.
