Dennis P. Sugrue United States Army 30 September 1931 – 3 June 1951 Dennis Sugrue was born on September 30, 1931 in Boston. As a resident of Dorchester, Dennis enlisted into the United States Army in August of 1949 and began active duty that same year. Dennis served during the Korean War as Corporal with the 10th Field Artillery Battalion, and the 3rd Infantry Division. Dennis Sugrue was killed in action in North Korea on June 3, 1951. For the heroism displayed in his service to our country, Dennis was awarded the Purple Heart. Dennis was survived by his mother Margaret, a resident of Dorchester.
