Charles J. Regan United States Army 20 March 1891 – 22 July 1918 Charles Joseph Regan was born on March 20, 1891 in Massachusetts and resided in Charlestown. Charles served in the United States Army during World War One. He was a Corporal in the HQTS Co., 104th Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry Division. While overseas in Belleau, France, fighting in the Aisne-Marne campaign, Corporal Regan died of wounds received from a Machine Gun. He was 27 years old at the time and was posthumously awarded a Purple Heart. He was memorialized at Holy Cross Cemetery and Mausoleum in Malden, Massachusetts with the rest of his family. Charles J. Regan was survived by his mother, Mary E. Regan(1848-1921).
