David Nelson McDonald United States Army 19 March 1931 – 5 October 1951 David Nelson McDonald was born on March 19, 1931 in Boston. Showing his love for our country David joined the United States Army on May 21, 1948. David served as Corporal in Company I, 3rd Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, and the 1st Cavalry Division. He was killed in action in North Korea on October 5, 1951. David was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge, Korean Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, Republic of Korea War Service Medal, and the United Nations Service Medal. David was survived by his mother Mary I. McDonald a resident of Boston.
