Angelo Anzalone United States Army 15 September 1922 – 12 October 1944 Angelo Anzalone was born on September 15, 1922 to Ralph and Aureli Anzalone. Angelo was inducted into the United States Army on March 31, 1943. Private First Class (PFC) Anzalone served in the 30th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division until he was killed in action in Europe on October 12, 1944. He is buried at Epinal American Cemetery in Epinal, France. For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action, PFC Anzalone was awarded the Purple Heart and the Silver Star. Angelo was survived by his mother.
