Rose Garden Party

The Mayor’s Rose Garden Party is an annual fundraiser which benefits year-round programs in City of Boston parks and allows thousands of children and families to enjoy arts, science, and fitness programs as well as special events in their neighborhoods. About the Event

The Mayor’s Rose Garden Party is an elegant evening social event which raises money for a series of free arts, cultural, and enrichment programs in Boston's park system.

Venue: The Kelleher Rose Garden in the Back Bay Fens when 3,000 rose bushes are at peak bloom.

Fare: Passed hors d'oeuvres, buffet, and complimentary libations.

Features: Live entertainment and a spirited creative hat contest in a garden-party setting; live and silent auction, En plein air painting demonstration and a Hollywood red carpet experience with a Step and Repeat backdrop courtesy of StepandRepeat .com.

Attendees: Boston's business, arts, educational and philanthropic leaders and supporters together with open space advocates and guests who enjoy this popular event while supporting a worthy cause.

Cause: Proceeds from the ticketed event directly fund free programming in neighborhood parks throughout the city.

Committee: Mayor Martin J. Walsh and Ms. Lorrie Higgins serve as honorary event chairs of the Rose Garden Committee, which is comprised of arts institution directors, business leaders, university presidents, and children's enrichment programming advocates, all of whom support increased awareness of the arts, science, and fitness in our community.
