The City of Boston’s Office of Business Development and Sweet Tooth Boston’s owners Glenn Quirion and David Venter today hosted the Grand Opening Celebration for Sweet Tooth Boston’s new bakery located in the Corner Mall in Downtown Crossing.

The additional location will expand their corporate business and provide pastries to a new customer base in downtown Boston. The new location was made possible in part by a $65K investment from the City of Boston’s Office of Business Development’s Innovative Loan Fund, which leveraged $150,000 in private funding, and created more than 10 new jobs in Boston.

“What a great addition to Downtown Crossing,” said the Department of Neighborhood Development Director Sheila Dillon. “We have to thank Sweet Tooth Boston’s owners for investing in the future of two of our neighborhoods, and congratulate everyone who worked so hard to make this new bakery a reality.”

Sweet Tooth Boston’s flagship store is located at 371W. Broadway Street in South Boston, and specializes in custom cakes baked to order.  Their new location is located in the Corner Mall, and will carry an array of cakes, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, pies, and tarts, and will take orders for their specialized cakes.  Sweet Tooth cupcakes and mini flour-less chocolate cakes are currently being carried at the Flagship Walgreens located on Washington Street in Boston.
