TONIGHT, Wednesday, August 21, 2013, from 5:00 to 7 p.m. at the Massachusetts College of Art, Kennedy Building, 621 Huntington Ave., 2nd Floor, Boston Centers for Youth & Families’ (BCYF) “Snap Shot” teen photography program will celebrate the end of the summer with a photo exhibit tonight.  The teens will exhibit their favorite photos and will be on hand to speak about the program.  The photos will stay on display for the next month.

The Snap Shot program is a summer teen photography program.  The 17 teens in the program venture across the city taking pictures at BCYF community centers and events.  The youth learn about photography from their instructor, a MA College of Art teacher, and from others they meet with over the course of the summer.  They also learn about famous photographers and their style of work and they take “photo safaris” exploring Boston’s neighborhoods, museums and historic sites.

The Snap Shot youth are employed through John Hancock’s MLK Scholars Program.
