Traffic is expected to be heavy this weekend in the vicinity of the South Boston Waterfront due to two popular shows taking place that will attract large audiences.  Drivers and pedestrians alike are advised to be sure to follow the rules of the road and to travel through the area with caution.

The Penny Arcade Expo East 2013 (PAX) will take place at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center March 22-24 with an anticipated attendance of 24,000 each day.  Event hours are 10AM-2AM on Friday and Saturday, and 10AM-7PM on Sunday.

In addition, the World of Wheels auto show will take place at the SeaportWorld Trade Center March 22-24, with Saturday’s peak bringing an additional 7,000 expected attendees to the South Boston Waterfront.

The South Boston Waterfront is accessible via the MBTA Silver Line and those planning to attend the shows are encouraged to take advantage of this service.  Those driving to the area should expect increased traffic, and parking facilities that are expected to reach capacity.
