Mayor Thomas M. Menino's Office of Arts, Tourism & Special Events is happy to announce the fifth annual Waterfront Performing Arts Series, presented by State Street Corporation. The series takes place on Tuesday evenings, 6 – 8 pm, from July 22nd to August 19th at Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park.

This year's program features a rich mix of artistic genres including folk, R&B, jazz, opera, dance and classical music. "This summer's lineup represents more artistic disciplines than we have had in previous years," said Julie Burns, director of the Mayor's Office of Arts, Tourism & Special Events. "We strive each year to introrudce new genres whthout compromising the core features of this series which have been dance, opera, and classical music." This summers complete series includes:

July 22nd: ONEin3 Night
ONEin3 are advocates for the 20-34 age group in Boston. Up and coming young singer, Casey Desmond performs. Also on the bill are the hot new R&B act, Ahmir.

July 29th: A Night at the Opera
Opera Boston's Three Tenors will perform popular opera and arias.

August 5th: A Night of Smooth Jazz
Zili Misik will be playing the sounds of the Caribbean. The Mark Zaleski Band will be playing original jazz numbers.

August 12th: A Night of Dance
Headlined by Boston Ballet, also on the bill are Chu Ling Dance and OrigiNation.

August 19th: A Night of Classical Music
All the way from Boston's Sister City of Strausbourg comes the acclaimed orchestra: Orchestre Symphonique des Jeunes de Strasbourg
