Two Mattapan Men Arrested for August Homicide of 19-Year-Old

At about 12:43 a.m. August 1st Boston Police Officers from District 11 responded to a call for a person shot at 138 Washington Street, Roxbury. On arrival, Officers found 19 year- old Fritz Johnson from Mattapan suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center where he was pronounced. This morning members of the Boston Police Youth Violence Strike Force arrested two individuals at their respective Mattapan homes in connection with this homicide. 21-year-old Isaac Wallace will face a Murder charge and 20-year-old Azan Reid will be charged with accessory after the fact of murder.

Boston Police Homicide Detectives have been working closely with their counterparts at the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office over the past two months to bring these individuals to justice. Both Wallace and Reid will face arraignment today in Dorchester District Court.
