School Year Employment Program: "Pathway to Success"

The school year employment program allows teen employees ages 15-18 to gain meaningful work experience and learn valuable skills to be successful in future employment opportunities. Teen employees have the opportunity to apply for a job at over 100 different community-based organizations where they can work as camp counselors, sports assistants, peer leaders, art apprentices, and more.

To work in the school year employment program, an applicant:

  • Must turn 15 years old on or before Sunday, November 30, 2014

  • Cannot turn 19 years old on or before Friday, May 1, 2015

  • Cannot be registered for school with a home address outside of Boston

  • Must be currently enrolled as a high school or GED/alternative education program student

  • Must be legally permitted to work in Massachusetts and the United States

  • Applications cannot be submitted by a parent/guardian; they must be submitted by the applicant
