Boston Women's Commission

The Boston Women’s Commission, officially launched in June 2014, is an advisory board that counsels the Mayor and the Office of Women’s Advancement on issues relating to women’s economic, social, and political circumstances. The Commission is comprised of no more than 30 female and male leaders in business, academia, and civil society who are exceptionally committed to gender equality. The Commission provides advocacy for key issues affecting women and girls in Boston, and advances programs and opportunities for all of Boston’s female residents to experience a full range of life options. The Commission will assist the Office of Women’s Advancement in producing an annual report and an annual event highlighting the stories of successes and progress to be made for women in Boston.
