- Four Different Views give users the choice to view events as a daily or weekly list, on a monthly calendar or as points on a map. Event Filters sort events by audience, neighborhood and event type, users can easily find events that are of interest to them and eliminate ones that are not.
- Calendar events can be downloaded to a user’s Outlook, Google, MSN, AOL, Yahoo or Apple calendar.
- Receive text or email reminders of selected events.
- Email event details. They can also subscribe to a weekly email update of calendar listings.
- Event listings include location map, which links to Google Maps to easily look up driving directions.
We receive 200+ event submissions each month from community organizations including museums, civic groups, youth programs, theatres and universities. At no additional cost to the city, we are able to provide these organizations with a free marketing tool to publicize their events to the 500,000 visitors a month to the city website. The City Calendar had over 1 million views in 2009.

By Email
You can subscribe to the City Calendar and receive weekly emails by choosing 'Subscribe" at top of calendar page. You can also choose to be reminded of specific events by email.

On iPhone
Select “Settings” App and then select “Mail, Contacts, Calendars.”
Under Accounts, select Add Account.
You should now see MS Exchange, mobileme, Gmail, Yahoo, AOL and Other. Select Other.
Under the Calendars Section, select “Add Subscribed Calendar”
Enter the server name of the calendar you’d like to add (trumba.com/calendars/cob-calendar.ics).
Click Next button in the top right corner.
On the next screen make any changes or keep the defaults and click Save Button in the upper right corner.
Close "Settings" App.
Select your Calendar App and you will now see a list of subscribed calendars, including the one you just added (Boston's City Calendar).
