Boats Sure, it's not conventional, but it is possible to get around parts of Boston by boat. In fact, an entire section of Boston -- the historic Harbor Islands-- are impossible to get to without a water ferry.

For access to Logan Airport, Harbor Express and the Logan water shuttle will take you from Quincy and Rowes Wharf respectively. And if you want to visit sites North and South of Boston, but are sick of trains and buses, check out the MBTA's water ferries with service from downtown Boston to Charlestown, Hingham, Hull, Salem and the World Trade Center.
