Application Process

The first round application process for each of our three types of applicant is as follows. As applicants become semi-finalists, there will be additional requirements (such as an interview).

For Incoming Freshmen

A. Download and complete the Scholarship Application, which includes:
- The signed cover sheet.
- The application form.
- A 300-500 essay.

B. Acquire the following supplements:

- One letter of recommendation from a school, employer, or community agency.
- An official secondary school record.
- SAT/ACT or TOEFL score, or G.E.D. score report.

C. Complete and submit the following financial forms:

- 1040 Tax Return (only if selected as a semi-finalist)
- Student Aid Report (SAR) or Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for verification of financial need.

D. Submit the following no later than April 1, 2013:

- The completed Scholarship Application.
- The supplements listed in Step B.
- The financial aid forms listed in Step C.

For Current College Students

-A college transcript with latest semester grades and cumulative grade point average.

C. Complete and submit the following financial forms:

-1040 Tax Return (only if selected as a semi-finalist)
-Student Aid Report (SAR) or Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for verification of financial need.
-2013-2014 Financial Aid package from the college you attend, including total scholarships, grants, and loans already secured.
(If you do not know the amount of financial aid you will be receiving from your school, please write a letter explaining the circumstances. If you have financial aid information from the previous year, please submit along with your letter.)
