Foreclosure Outreach

Earlier this month, Menino and many of his cabinet members visited the neighborhood and reinforced the City's commitment to combat the negative effects of foreclosure.

On Monday, February 25th, the Rental Housing Resource Center (RHRC) and staff from the Mayors Office of Neighborhood Services (MONS) returned to Dorchester's Hendry, Clarkson and Coleman Street area as part of a continued foreclosure-prevention and outreach effort led by Mayor Menino. In addition to convening a new group of department-heads and staff from nearly a dozen city agencies to form his new Foreclosure Intervention Team (FIT), the Mayor has also asked staff from RHRC and MONS to visit homeowners and tenants in this neighborhood to discuss their rights and the resources available to them.
