The City of Boston School Department (the City), acting by its Business Manager, (the Official), invites sealed bids for the performance of the work we generally described above, and particularly as set forth in the Invitation for Bids which may be obtained at the Office of the Business Manager of the School Committee, fifth floor, 26 Court Street, Boston, MA 02108, commencing at Twelve O’clock Noon on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2009. Invitations for Bids shall be available until the time of the bid opening. Every sealed bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Invitations for Bids. All sealed bids shall be filed not later than WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 2009, at Twelve O’clock Noon (Boston Time) at the office of the Official, Office of the Business Manager, Fifth floor, 26 Court Street, Boston, MA 02108. The attention of all bidders is directed to the provisions of the Invitation for Bids and contract documents, specifically to the requirements for bid deposits, insurance and performance bonds as may be applicable. A non-refundable bid deposit in the amount of twenty dollars $20.00 shall be required from each bidder. The Official shall publicly open sealed bids on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 2009, at Boston Public Schools, 26 Court Street, 5th floor, Boston, MA 02108. The award of any contract shall be subject to the approval of the Superintendent of Schools and the Mayor of Boston. The maximum time for bid acceptance by the City after the opening of bids shall be ninety 90 days. The City and the Official reserve the right to reject any or all bids, or any item or items thereof.
