State Web Sites
Some Americans are so fed up about the prices of drugs in our country that they have started buying prescription drugs from Canada. While it is important for Boston residents to have the advantages of cheaper medicines, you should be cautious. Many companies that claim to be selling Canadian prescription drugs are not safe. It is important that you only purchase medicine from qualified, safe pharmacies.

Two states have launched websites to help their residents access less expensive medications from Canada. The City has spoken with people in these states to learn about how they screened the pharmacies listed on their websites. We feel confident that these websites can be of use to Bostonians.

Before using these websites, you should explore all possible options for reduced prices medicines—insurance coverage, Medicare or Medicaid, Mass Health. If you are unable to access these programs and decide to purchase from Canada, these state websites can be a valuable road map.
