Boston Police Family Justice Division
 

The Family Justice Division consists of the following units within the Boston Police Department: Captain Genevieve King is the commander of the Family Justice Division (FJD), comprised of more than 30 detectives trained in the highly specialized areas of domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse investigations. With the creation of the FJD in the spring of 2004, the Boston Police Department emphasized its commitment to providing victims of intimate crimes with the most comprehensive and professional police response possible.

In addition, the Boston Police Department is proud to be an on-site partner of the Family Justice Center of Boston, which opened in October, 2005. The Domestic Violence and Crimes Against Children Units are both located in the FJCB.
