Welcome to the District C-6 Web Page. We had an exciting summer and fall filled with many programs and events that were coordinated out of the District C-6 Community Service Office and look forward to an active winter. Among some of the programs that the office is involved with is the South Boston Kids Care, C-6 Boxing Program,C-6 Fishing Academy and Operation Cooperation. Please feel free to contact the C-6 Community Service Office at 1-617-343-4747 for more information on these programs.

Regrettably one issue confronting this community is the recent increase in residential burglaries. These offenses, most often committed during the daytime when the occupant is not home, have occurred frequently and although the officers have made many arrests they unfortunately are continuing. My intent is not to cause panic but to increase awareness of this issue and ask the residents to take precautions and remain vigilant for any suspicious activity in your neighborhood. Please report any suspicious activity immediately by dialing 911. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Community Service Office for suggestions on safeguarding your property.

As winter is now upon us, I'd like to take this opportunity to remind the residents of this community to Park Smart, which is a citywide initiative out of the Mayor's Office that is designed to educate drivers on public safety related parking regulations and to encourage drivers to park responsibly. Among the violations that the officers from this district will continue to address is the following:
  • Parking within 20 feet of an intersection.
  • Parking within 10 feet of a fire hydrant.
  • Parking within 10 feet of a handicap ramp.

  • Although this is only a partial list of the violations, the officers of this district have been instructed to aggressively enforce these regulations with an emphasis placed on the narrow side streets. I ask the residents of this community to cooperate in this initiative and to help us prevent a tragedy from occurring.

As the Commanding Officer of this district, I am pleased to report that the officers of District C-6 will continue to work diligently to ensure that this community continues to be one of the safest neighborhoods in this city.

On behalf of the men and women of District C-6, I thank you for visiting our web page and invite you to contact us with any questions or concerns that you may have.
