The Captain's Message

East Boston enjoyed a relatively peaceful and safe summer in 2002. It is with great pride and gratitude that I report that crime in East Boston is decreasing. Recently released figures from the Police Commissioner's Office show that crime in East Boston has dropped 8%. This is a credit to the continuing partnerships among the residents, business community groups, and the officers of District Seven. Eastie deserves a pat on the back for its efforts to keep our young people out of trouble.

In keeping with out policy of "rewarding the good kids", our community continues to provide innovative, entertaining and healthy programs for our young people. Keep an eye out for our athletic and holiday events.

Captain Robert Cunningham
Commanding Officer - District Seven
