Currently we are working with the Boston Urban Forest Coalition to complete a city-wide tree inventory. The actual inventory is being completed by the Urban Ecology Institute, and is scheduled for completion in 2006.

The inventory is recording data such as:

Tree height Species Diameter at breast height (DBH) Canopy spread Percent dead wood Wounds Sidewalk width Hardware conflicts Tree pit size Detailed location on a GIS based mapping system
