About the Event
The Rose Garden Party is an elegant evening social event which raises money for ParkARTS, Mayor Menino's initiative to present free arts, cultural and enrichment programs in Boston's park system.
Venue: The Kelleher Rose Garden in the Back Bay Fens when 3,000 rose bushes are at peak bloom
Fare: Passed hors d'oeuvres and cocktails as well as a buffet and complimentary libations
Features: Live entertainment and a spirited creative hat contest in a garden-party setting; silent auction, en plein air water demonstration
Attendees: Boston's business, arts, community and philanthropic leaders
Cause: Proceeds from the ticketed event directly fund the ParkARTS programming in neighborhood parks thoughout the city.
Committee: First Lady Angela Menino serves as event chair of the Rose Garden Committee, which is comprised of arts institutions directors, business leaders, university presidents and supporters of children's enrichment programming, all who support increased awareness of the arts in our community.
