Rose Garden Party

The Rose Garden Party, chaired by Mayor Martin J. Walsh and Ms. Lorrie Higgins, is an annual fundraiser that benefits year-round programs in City of Boston parks and allows thousands of children and families to enjoy arts, science, and fitness programs as well as special events in their neighborhoods. Now in its 20th year, the annual Rose Garden Party has become one of Boston's signature events. Please join us!

About the Event

The Rose Garden Party is an elegant evening social event which raises money for a series of free participatory and performing arts events and workshops throughout Boston’s parks

Attendees: Boston’s business, arts, community, and philanthropic leaders

Cause: proceeds from the ticketed event directly fund free programming in neighborhood parks throughout the city

Committee: Mayor Martin J. Walsh and Ms. Lorrie Higgins serve as Honorary Event Co-Chairs of the Rose Garden Committee, which is comprised of arts institution directors, business leaders, university presidents, and supporters of children’s enrichment programming, all of whom support increased awareness of the arts in our community

Fare: passed hors d’oeuvres, buffet and complimentary libations

Features: live entertainment with a spirited, creative hat contest in a garden party setting, live and silent auction, en plein air painting demonstration

Venue: the Kelleher Rose Garden in the Back Bay Fens when 3,000 rose bushes are at peak bloom
