The Boston Parks and Recreation Department offers free youth athletic programs, clinics, and camps in neighborhood parks citywide, as well as local community centers in partnership with Boston Centers for Youth & Families.Choose from a wide variety of healthy activities including golf lessons, tennis with our partner Tenacity, the All Girls Sports Festival, Sox Talks with Boston Red Sox players and coaches, a visit to the Fenway Park batting cages, Sports Centers at Moakley Park, East Boston Stadium, and White Stadium in Franklin Park, Mayor’s Cup golf, baseball, cross country, soccer, softball, and hockey tournaments, and much more.

The Boston Parks and Recreation Department and the John Shelburne Community Center invite boys and girls ages 6 to 12 to come and participate in the Youth Development & Skills Challenge during February school vacation week. Participants will be exposed to exercises to get them ready for the skills challenge competition where they can compete with other participants, showcase what they’ve learned, win prizes, and have FUN!
