For the past eleven years, over 5,000 volunteers have come together in the spring to participate in a citywide clean up event. Join us again and plant flowers, sweep, rake and pick up trash to make our communities more beautiful.
A Boston Shines project is a team effort that makes your neighborhood cleaner and more beautiful!
Where: your local park, school yard, street, sidewalk, or any other public (City) property
What: clearing brush, laying down mulch (but no painting!)
Who: neighbors, business volunteers, public organizations, public agencies; anyone!
Boston Shines is also an annual event across the city held for three consecutive weekends, beginning on April 25th & 26th - but you can always set up your own project! Spring, summer, and fall months are best. Projects are most often scheduled on Saturdays, but they can happen 365 days a year.
Registration for the 2014 Boston Shines clean-up is currently closed. Check back next spring to register for the next annual Boston Shines.
