Traffic Advisory, Concerts at Fenway Park and August Moon Festival in Chinatown this Weekend

The Jay Z/Justin Timberlake concert taking place at FenwayPark and the August Moon Festival in Chinatown will bring additional activity to Boston this weekend.  The Boston Transportation Department is advising drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians alike to take extra care to obey the rules of the road and to be considerate of others traveling on local streets.  Those coming into the City to attend these events are encouraged to leave their private vehicles at home and take the MBTA.

 

Concerts will take place at Fenway Park on both Saturday, August 10 and Sunday, August 11.  To accommodate the event, “Tow Zone No Stopping Boston Police Special Event Saturday and Sunday 3:00 PM to 11:59 PM” temporary parking restrictions will be implemented at the following locations.

  • Brookline Avenue, both sides, from Overland Street to Lansdowne Street
  • Overland Street, south side, from Brookline Avenue to the dead end
  • Boylston Street, south side, from opposite Ipswich Street to Brookline Avenue
  • Lansdowne Street, both sides, from Brookline Avenue to Ipswich Street
  • Ipswich Street, both sides, from Boylston Street to opposite Lansdowne Street, excluding any existing HP-DV parking regulations
  • Van Ness Street, both sides, fromIpswich Street to Kilmarnock Street
  • Yawkey Way, both sides, from Van Ness Street to Brookline Avenue

 

In addition, “Tow Zone No Parking Reserved for HP-DV Parking Only Saturday and Sunday” temporary parking restrictions will be established as follows.

  • Boylston Street, north side, from Ipswich Street to Yawkey Way
  • Yawkey Way, both sides, from Boylston Street to Van Ness Street
  • Overland Street, north side, from Brookline Avenue to the dead end.

 

The August Moon Festival in Chinatown will take place on Sunday, August 11.  To accommodate this event, “Tow Zone No Stopping Sunday” temporary parking restrictions will be implemented at the following locations.

  • Beach Street, both sides, from J.F. Fitzgerald Expressway Surface Road to Washington Street
  • Harrison Avenue, both sides, from Essex Street to Kneeland Street
  • Hudson Street, both sides, from Kneeland Street to Beach Street
  • Oxford Street, both sides, from Beach Street to Essex Street
  • Tyler Street, both sides, from Kneeland Street to Beach Street.
