New Fire Boat to be Dedicated

Mayor Thomas M. Menino and Fire Commissioner Roderick J. Fraser invite the public to the dedication of Boston's newest fire boat, the John S. Damrell.
This 70' custom made high-speed aluminum boat was built by MetalCraft Marine. It can pump 13,000 gallons of water per minute and reach speeds of 40mph. It has a dive platform and will be staffed around the clock.
The dedication ceremony will be held on Thursday, September 29th at 1:00 pm. at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Charlestown. All are welcome to attend.
