New Lieutenant Promoted by the Fire Commissioner

On August 22, 2011, joining the officer ranks and promoted to Lieutenant was Firefighter Brian P. Mullen of Ladder 23. Fire Commissioner Roderick Fraser administered the oath of office. Lt. Mullen had his badge pinned to him by his father, retired Deputy Chief Dick Mullen. Chief of Department Ron Keating along with Local 718 Vice-President Nick DiMarino and family and friends were also present.
Lt. Mullen scored the highest in the Lieutenants exam and is the first person promoted off of the new list.
