ACADEMY HILL LIBRARY VOTERS WILL GO TO THE VERONICA B. SMITH MULTI-SERVICE SENIOR CENTER -- OTHER LOCATIONS REMAIN THE SAME --
BOSTON, MA – Due to extensive renovations underway at the Academy Hill Branch Library, voters in Ward 22 Precinct 3 will vote at the Veronica B. Smith Multi-Service Senior Center on 20 Chestnut Hill Avenue for the upcoming September 22nd and November 3rd municipal elections, announced Geraldine Cuddyer, Chair of the Boston Board of Election Commissioners. Voting will take place in the second floor auditorium, which is easily accessible by elevator.
Additionally, the Alexander Hamilton School will continue to serve as a polling location for Ward 21, Precincts 14, 15 and 16, despite its recent closing as an active school. The James A. Garfield School, which has now become part of the Mary Lyon School, will remain a polling location for Ward 22, Precincts 10 and 11.
"The Board of Election Commissioners is extremely grateful to the Boston Public Schools for arranging to maintain our polling sites at familiar locations in the Allston and Brighton neighborhoods. We have worked closely together to ensure minimum disruption to the community's voters, in light of the school closings," said Ms. Cuddyer.
The Preliminary Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, September 22, and the Municipal Election will take place on Tuesday, November 3.
