MAY 12th IS THE LAST DAY FOR CANDIDATES TO SIGN UP FOR
BOSTON'S 2009 MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS
BOSTON, MA – Boston's Board of Election Commissioners reminds potential candidates for Municipal Office that the last day to register for nomination papers is Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 5PM. Prospective office-seekers sign up in the Election Department, Room 241, at Boston City Hall.
Candidates may sign up to seek the offices of Mayor, City Councillor At-Large, and District City Councillor. Boston has four At-Large Councillors and nine District Councillors.
For more information regarding the signature requirements for each office, please consult the Election Calendar on the Election Department's website: www.cityofboston.gov/elections, or contact John Donovan, Head Assistant Registrar of Voters, at 617-635-3002. All nomination papers must be filed no later than 5PM on Tuesday, May 19, 2009.
