Inspectional Services, Code Enforcement Offices issued over $12,000.00 in fines to Atlantic Records, the New York City based record label, for illegally posting signs on city property. During a routine walkthrough of various Dorchester neighborhoods, Sgt. Steve Tankle observed many music release posters plastered on city poles along Dorchester Ave. and Washington St.
Sgt. Tankle also noted, some poles contained two posters of the various advertisements. Tickets were immediately issue to Atlantic records for violation of City Ordinance, 16-23.1 “posting signs without authority.”
