The Boston Transportation Department is implementing temporary parking regulations in the Fenway/Kenmore neighborhood near Fenway Park this weekend to ensure the availability of parking for neighborhood residents and to protect public safety during the Police concerts scheduled for Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29, 2007.
In addition, the Boston Transportation Department has put all open-air parking lot operators in the area on notice that BTD will be monitoring activity at these facilities throughout the weekend to ensure compliance with their City of Boston issued licenses.
The City of Boston strongly urges concert goers to take public transportation to Fenway Park. All parking regulations in the Fenway/Kenmore neighborhood, including Resident Parking Only regulations, will be strictly enforced, and vehicles in violation will be ticketed and towed.
No Stopping will be allowed on the following streets on Saturday and Sunday:
Boylston Street, north side, from Yawkey Way to Kilmarnock Street
Boylston Street, south side, from Park Drive to opposite Ipswich Street
Brookline Avenue, both sides, from Commonwealth Avenue to Park Drive
Ipswich Street, south side, from Boylston Street to opposite Fenway Park, not including existing HP-DV Parking between #174 Ipswich Street to opposite Lansdowne Street
Ipswich Street, north side, from Lansdowne Street to Van Ness Street
Kilmarnock Street, both sides, from Van Ness Street to Boylston Street
Lansdowne Street, both sides, from Brookline Avenue to Ipswich Street
Van Ness Street, both sides, from Kilmarnock Street to Ipswich Street
Yawkey Way, both sides, from Van Ness Street to Brookline Avenue.
