Parks Department Announces South End Tree Removal Hearing

In accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 87, the Boston Parks and Recreation Department will hold a public hearing on Thursday, July 10, to discuss the proposed removal of three public shade trees due to construction at Boston Medical Center. 

The hearing will be held at 10 a.m. in the 3rd floor Conference Room of the Boston Parks and Recreation Department located at 1010 Massachusetts Avenue, Roxbury. 

The hearing will discuss an application to remove two honey locust trees measuring 6 inches dbh (diameter at breast height) and one honey locust measuring 10 dbh across from 750 Albany Street and adjacent to 725 Albany Street due to a sidewalk reconstruction project at Boston Medical Center.

The public hearing will be held by the City of Boston’s Tree Warden (or designee).  Public testimony will be taken at the hearing, or may be provided prior to the hearing in writing to the Tree Warden, Boston Parks and Recreation Department, 1010 Massachusetts Avenue, 3rd floor, Boston, MA 02118 or by emailing with “BMC Tree Hearing” in the subject line.
