The City of Boston is strongly encouraging Boston sports fans to leave their private vehicles at home and take the MBTA to today’s games.  Information on MBTA service is available at www.mbta.com.  For a faster return trip, the MBTA advises riders to purchase a round trip rather than a one-way ticket.

The Red Sox are playing a double–header at Fenway Park today.  The first game is scheduled for 1:05 PM and the second for 7:30 PM.  A Bruins home game will begin at 7:30 PM at TD Garden.  Traffic congestion near both sports venues is expected.

Those who must drive into the city are asked not to park in Resident Parking zones and to park in accordance with public safety regulations.  The Boston Transportation Department’s Parking Enforcement Division will be patrolling the vicinity of both Fenway Park and the TD Garden to ensure compliance.
