A number of special events will be taking place in the City of Boston to celebrate the Fourth of July.  As a result, many local streets will be closed to vehicular traffic and parking will be restricted.  City officials are urging those planning on coming into Boston to enjoy the festivities to use the MBTA.  Information on extra holiday service being provided by the T can be found at www.MBTA.com.  MBTA Transit Police plan to conduct random baggage checks and recommend that customers leave bags at home if possible.
