Boston drivers are reminded that the second annual Boston Meter Card holiday sale is running through December 31st with a 20% discount on purchases of all denominations. In addition to quarters, Boston Meter Cards may be used for payment at most of the approximately 7,000 single space metered parking spaces in Boston, the exception being 259 single space meters on Charles, Beacon and Park Streets that are currently being tested by the Boston Transportation Department. These meters are outfitted with advanced technology designed to provide enhanced collection data and security. Although they do not accept the Boston Meter Card, the test meters do accept credit and debit cards as well as quarters for payment.
Boston Meter Cards are available in denominations of $5, $25, $50, $75 and $100. They are available online at www.cityofboston.gov/parking, and are also sold at the Office of the Parking Clerk, Room 224, City Hall, and the BTD Tow Lot at 200 Frontage Road. Cards can also be purchased at the BTD Mobile Command Center from 10 AM to 2 PM on these select Saturdays during the holiday season.
