Mayor Thomas M. Menino, in partnership with Faneuil Hall Marketplace Merchants Association, ArtsBoston and Kimpton's Onyx Hotel, today announced the launch of Blink!, a six-week, state-of-the-art, light and sound extravaganza featuring the music of the Holiday Pops. The show will debut Saturday, November 17 at 5 p.m., with a full day of entertainment including Pilates Bootcamp, story hour with the Grinch, and live music and performances, starting at 9:15 a.m.

“The launch of this new tradition is a true celebration of the best the City has to offer,” Mayor Menino said. “From world-class athletes to artistic visionaries, Blink! combines all the unique elements and characteristics that bring Boston to life during the holiday season.”

The light and sound show will use more than 350,000 LED lights to illuminate Boston’s skyline. Blink's launch program includes some of Boston's most talented performers and special celebrity guests, including: Boston Ballet; Boston Pops Brass Ensemble; Greg Daniels, Host, Mix 104; Jerod Mayo, New England Patriots; Jose Mateo Ballet Theater; Handel & Haydn Messiah Choir; and Mycle Wastman (The Voice) & Sweet Tooth & The Sugar Babies.
